DAY

Hananta Campsite - Rainbow Mountain

This day we will wake up earlier than usual to continue our adventure to the famous Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca. We will have breakfast very early in order to be the first to arrive at the Rainbow Mountain since many visitors come from Cusco. We will start with an ascent of about an hour to the pass (5000m / 16,400ft), from where you can see a landscape that looks like something out of a dream.

From Hananta it takes about three hours to reach Rainbow Mountain. Once we arrive at Rainbow Mountain (5,100m), your guide will explain this amazing and imposing work of art created by nature. Remember that this type of formation can only be seen in two places in the world: Peru and China. You will learn about the formation process, the natural minerals that make up the colors and everything related to this wonder of the world.

After enjoying this surreal landscape, we will descend to the place where we will have our lunch. Our succulent, delicious and varied lunch will be waiting for us to recharge all the energy spent on this hike. Also, our private transportation will be waiting for us to return to the city of Cusco. After 3 hours of travel, we will arrive in Cusco around 6:00 pm approximately.
