Tour Description:

Discover the magic of Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire, with this fascinating tour of the city’s most important archaeological and historical sites. Accompanied by a professional guide, you’ll enjoy an unforgettable journey through history, culture, and tradition.

Detailed Itinerary:

Start of the Tour – Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun)
We begin our excursion at 09:00 a.m. visiting the majestic Convent of Santo Domingo – Qorikancha, once one of the most sacred temples of the Inca Empire. Here, you’ll admire the impressive contrast between Inca and Spanish colonial architecture, as well as the finely carved stone walls that were once covered in gold.

🪶 Sacsayhuamán
Next, we head to the outskirts of the city to visit Sacsayhuamán, an imposing Inca fortress built with enormous stone blocks perfectly fitted together, some weighing up to 200 tons. From this site, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Cusco.

Q’enqo
Just 5 minutes away lies Q’enqo, a ceremonial center where the Incas performed religious rituals and offerings. Its highlights include a semi-circular amphitheater, carved stone altars, and underground passages that reflect the deep spirituality of the Andean world.

Puca Pucará
Our next stop is Puca Pucará, known as the “Red Fortress” due to the color of its stones. This structure is believed to have served as a watchtower or control point guarding access to Cusco.

Tambomachay
We end our tour at Tambomachay, the Temple of Water, famous for its beautifully designed aqueducts, canals, and fountains that still flow today. This sacred site was dedicated to the worship of water and purification ceremonies.
